map bunting: new zealand and british columbia

this series of map bunting feature the north and south island of new zealand as well as one of canadian british columbia.  the paper flags are sewn onto approx 1.5m of bias binding with 9 to 10 flags on each length.  you can find them on my felt shop for sale...

kisses and hugs hotwater bottle covers

there is something about the colder months that invites more craft endeavours.  made these hot water bottle covers as a thank you present for my parents who hosted us over the weekend.  putting my pile of woollen blankets to good use at last!

blue chevron stool

reupholstery projects are a big part of girl friday this year. this blue chevron stool is being showcased at taste nelson tomorrow at founders park from 12noon to 7pm, alongside other girl friday goodies.

girl friday 22 february

girl friday is under going a few changes in 2013 with a focus on new projects as well as the oldies but goodies.  these will be posted and placed in the felt shop as well as being showcased at local nelson markets.  the friday garage is closed for now but will open again in september in time for spring.

girl friday 7 december

was inspired by the pinks and greens in the garden this week and made some christmas present tags in the same colour scheme.  have been enjoying making handmade christmas items this week. the kids and i made our own advent calender last weekend with christmas treats and good deeds inside.
